Malton Equine Veterinary Services is a Yorkshire-based specialist reproductive independent equine practice established in 2022. We are committed to providing an exceptional standard of first opinion and referral veterinary care. While our main focus is reproduction, we have a wealth of experience in all aspects of equine practice.

Our experienced team of two vets guarantees the provision of a highly personal, consistent service for you and your horse.

We are pleased to offer specialist equine reproductive services to studs and individual breeders, covering natural breeding programmes, artificial insemination, embryo transfer and more.

Rory Gormley

Rory grew up in Ireland before moving to Scotland to study. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011 and since then has worked between England, Ireland and Australia, gaining experience with some of the most highly regarded vets in the world. In 2020, Rory acquired his diploma and became an RCVS-recognised specialist in equine reproduction, mentored by Professor Niamh Lewis from University College Dublin and Camilla Scott from Rossdales, to whom he owes enormous gratitude. Having worked in North Yorkshire across 6 breeding seasons, Rory now considers the area home. From his new practice in Malton, established in January 2022, Rory is thrilled to be offering his specialist expertise to the wider community of horse owners, breeders and trainers.

Phoebe O’Sullivan

Phoebe joined us in March 2023. Phoebe graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2018. After graduation she undertook a busy hospital internship, where she was involved in all aspects of equine practice including medicine and lameness. Since this, she has split her time focusing on reproductive equine practice here in North Yorkshire, and in the busy Thoroughbred breeding hub of Scone, Australia. She is interested in all aspects of equine reproduction, with a passion for advanced reproductive techniques and foal medicine. Phoebe brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience, and we are absolutely thrilled that she has joined us.

Rachel Andrews

The team would be lost without Rachel in the office, in the pharmacy and occasionally lending a hand on the road. Rachel has spent her life working around horses and alongside vets. Her vast experience means that you’re in safe hands when you call to discuss any queries, concerns or emergencies.
